3 Steps To Get your Biz Ready for Summer!

Can you believe it's practically June?!? School is letting out, graduation season is in full swing, the weather is warmer, the pool is open, summer is so close I can taste it!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE the summer season. Maybe it's the teacher in me but for me summer signals fun. And I am ALL about some fun. I may not have the whole summer off anymore but I want to be really present during the next 3 months. I want to be able to say YES, I want to be able to GO, and I don't want to have to choose between fun + finances. Here are the 3 things to do if you want to make this the best summer ever!

  1. Reset your schedule, time blocks and boundaries. Most likely, your personal schedule will change, to some degree, over the summer. Child care availability changes. Sleep schedules change. Your activities change. Now is a great time to reevaluate your capacity, rearrange your time and reschedule your day. Remember, you are building a businesses SO THAT you can have time freedom, flexibility, and have a business that fits into your life, not the other way around. Free time DOES NOT MEAN availability. This is also an excellent time to reset those biz boundaries: especially boundaries around communication tools and apps. 😉

  2. SCHEDULE THE TIME OFF. Just do it. Block the time off, book the flight, do what you gotta do. Prioritize rest. Prioritize fun. Prioritize saying YES. Pick the dates, commit to it and then let everyone know. I pinky swear promise you if you plan and prepare and communicate, your business WILL not crash + burn.

  3. Recalculate your minimum. I am ALL about finding minimum baselines in business SO THAT you can say YES to more life and more living and more fun. What are the minimum baselines in your business for : time spent marketing, time checking Slack, time engaging on social media, time posting on Instagram/Facebook, time doing admin. Now, we can't abandon all of our business responsibilities all summer, but we can slow down and be more intentional with what we ARE spending time on. If you commit to the minimum and show up consistently - you will still move the needle forward in your business!

I hope you all have EPIC summer plans filled with memory making activities. I would love to hear all about what you're up to -comment below and let me know what you're up to this summer!

We are headed to Gatlinburg, TN for Memorial Day.

We will spend June in Greenville, South Carolina #yesthatgreenville

July we'll be in Georgia, just south of ATL!
