I Had Another Kid

Y'all it's story time. Time for a life update.

I was pregnant, and now I am not. In June I gave birth to the sweetest, squishiest, most perfect baby boy - his name is Jaxon Crew and we all affectionately call him Jax.

This may come as a huge surprise to many of you. My pregnancy wasn't public - for a number of reasons but mostly because it was so so terrible. I was sick, literally sick, for almost the entirety of the 38 weeks. I was swollen and exhausted and just not my best self. I kept thinking, it'll get better and THEN I'll share.

Spoiler alert - it never got better.

Then I said okay, after I deliver I'll make an announcement because delivery day is going to be a great day. Ooops, strike two and wrong again. In fact, even my VBAC which I was soooo pumped up for, was terrible and resulted in an emergency C-Section. Fun times!

So that brings me to now. We are making it! Are we thriving? Not yet. But we will get there. We're sleeping through the night, I have given up on the hope of exclusively breastfeeding and I feel the fog of war slowly fading away.

Jax is 11 weeks old, or maybe 12 and I am slooooowly getting back into work. And honestly I am so excited and am so looking forward to working with my coaching clients again.

I am figuring out what right looks like for us right now. We just moved into a HUGE new home, I am so so thankful for, but Lord Jesus it's a lot of work, Magnolia started Kindergarten five days a week, Lincoln is in 4K four days a week and Reese is in 2k two days a week - so there's lots of trial and error, heavy on the error.

Part of getting back into work is blogging again...regularly. Something I haven't done since before I got pregnant. I am excited to start writing again - there will be weeks I'll talk about business, weeks it'll be all about life and weeks where it's motivation and inspiration - there is no shortage of content I am ready to put out into the world. I am not a great writer (but an even worse Reels'er) - and there's only one way to get better at it, and it's to write. So here I am, I hope you'll read along.

How was your summer?
